About Yamil
Yamil Rivera Casanova
Greetings, my name is Yamil Rivera Casanova. I was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. At age 8, my family would make the move to Orlando, FL where I have lived ever since. Since childhood I’ve always had an interest in science and engineering, in particular a love for all things outer space. This fascination of science and technology lead me to enroll in an information technology magnet program in high school. After graduating I chose to pursue a future in engineering which led me to acquire an AA in Engineering from Valencia College. I then transferred to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where I graduated with a BS in Aerospace Engineering. Seeking to improve my skills I would later return to Valencia to finish an AS in Computer Programming and am now nearing the end of my current Bachelor level major in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology. Now I’m using my knowledge and skills alongside those of my design partner Amanda to accomplish our goals for our senior design project.
